Sports and entertainment

This upazila has been known for its national level through sports. Football, Hadudu and Sattar competitions and boat race are one of the sporting events in this area. Boatboats still remain as a symbol of rural Bengal. There is also a medium of entertaining Jatra, Palagan, Jarigan and folk songs.
